World’s consumers

They are all over social media. They only take pictures of themselves. Share photos of their food, brag about their lifestyle, show off 24/7. Always front and center, they use the planet as a backdrop for their feed. They need your likes and your constant validation to feel alive in their virtual delusion.

They are the influencers, the consumers of the Earth.

To them, the planet is nothing but a resource. A decor that helps them support their narcissistic platform. The sun, the sky, the ocean, the trees and everything else simply exist to make them rich or famous. They travel the world, yet never cease to keep that stubborn mindset everywhere they go.

To be fair, this category of humans is not limited to social media. And most are not as extreme.

We are part of the creation. Not separated from the other kingdoms, and definitely not above.

The majority of people genuinely consider the planet like a commodity. Years of conditioning make it almost impossible for us to see it another way. The entire system is based on that premise of disconnection with nature.

Because, the aim of that system is to replace the natural order with engineered chaos. This artificial structure is not simply visible outside of us. It has been deeply injected within our psyche. So deep that most of us cannot even comprehend the insidious silent crime committed against our human nature. We have not been educated with the knowledge that Earth is a living being. We don’t know that Life is sacred by essence. All we know is to be competitive consumers, solely dependent on a man made world where buying stuff and paying for experiences means being alive.

I witness this all the time, outside cities. Most so-called outdoorsy people are, in fact, anomalies of nature. They think walking in plastic shoes is normal. They ride their bikes on dirt roads, indifferent to the insects they crush. They run with their music on, check their phones, chit-chat during sunset. To them, a mountain is a just a rock, water has no spirit, silence has no value. Even though theirs bodies and their bad manners are often loud and disruptive, they are never really present to Earth. They simply take up and invade a lot of physical space.

We have been ‘educated’ to hate nature. And we believe it to be as imperfect as we are.

If they go to a river or a lake, they will either fish, bring their greasy food on site, hop on a boat or wreck havoc with their jet-ski. Entertainment seems to be the only way for them to enjoy their time in nature.

Of course, they will litter any pristine place. Ironically, “recyclable” plastic bags filled with dog poop can be found in every corner, and we can trace their route, by scooping them alongside the plastic bottles and the variety of wraps found everywhere they go.

If they go by the sea, they will bring their chairs and set their tents. They blindly follow whatever science sells them, so they will wear sunglasses and spray their bodies with nasty chemicals to protect themselves from the sun. This is all normal for most. Because, in that commercial conditioned mindset, the sun is a potential danger. Insects are a potential danger. Plants are a potential danger. Nature is the enemy they need to tame. Nature has to be made as aseptic as possible, to serve them. These are the same “normal” people who cannot sit in a car 5 minutes without the ac on. Their entire existence has been conditioned to hate and fear the natural order, on every level. They have been programmed to only live for the five senses, for status and validation.

Native people lived with the Earth. They did not use it and abuse it like we do. Because they knew they were part of a sacred design and destiny.

How did we drift so far from the natural bond we once had with our Mother Earth? This cannot end well. Humans have become the equivalent to malignant cancerous cells on the face of Earth. Polluting everything, either literally, or by their indifferent behavior. Following this current path of ignorance of what our real Nature is, the human future can only metastasize.

When we see nature as a resource, we think of ourselves as a resource. This thought pattern has been normalized, yet this is the most dangerous lie. A lie that stems from a violent ideology, that is trying to hijack and manipulate the natural course of our human destiny.
