They are all over social media. They only take pictures of themselves, they share photos of their food, they brag, they show off, they are desperate for attention. Always front and center, they use the planet as a backdrop for their feed, in need of your likes and your constant validation to feel alive in their virtual delusion.
They are the consumers of the Earth.
To them, the planet is nothing but a resource. A decor. The sun, the sky, the ocean, the trees and everything else simply exist to make them look good. They travel the world, yet never cease to bring that stubborn mindset everywhere they go.
To be fair, they are not just on social media, and not always as extreme.
The majority of humans genuinely consider the planet like a commodity. Years of conditioning make it almost impossible to see it another way. The entire system is based on that disconnection. Because, the aim of that system, is to replace the natural order, with engineered chaos. This artificial structure has been injected so deep within our psyche, that most of us cannot comprehend the depth of that insidious crime against our human nature. We have not been educated with the knowledge that Earth is a living being. We don’t know that Life is sacred by essence. All we know is to be competitive consumers, solely dependent on a man made world where buying stuff and experiences means being alive.
I witness this all the time, even outside cities. Most people on nature trails are anomalies of nature. They think it’s normal to walk in plastic shoes, they ride their bikes on dirt roads, indifferent to the insects they crush, they run with their music on, chit-chat during sunset. To them, a mountain is a just a rock, water has no spirit, silence has no value. And must be covered with mundane talk at all times. Even though their bodies and their bad manners are often loud, they are never really present. They simply take up and invade a lot of space.
If they go to a river or a lake, they will either fish, bring food or bring a boat or their jet-ski. They litter everywhere they go. If they are by the sea, they will plant their tents, wear sunglasses, spray their bodies with chemicals to protect themselves from the sun. This is all normal for most. Because, in their commercial conditioned minds, the sun is a potential danger. Insects are a potential danger. Plants are a potential danger. Nature is the enemy they need to tame. Nature has to be made as aseptic as possible, to serve them. These are the same “normal” people who cannot sit in a car 5 minutes without the ac on. Their entire existence has been conditioned to hate and fear the natural order, on every level. They have been programmed to only live for the five senses, for status and validation.
How did we drift so far from the natural connection we once had with our Mother Earth? This cannot end well. Humans have become the equivalent to cancerous cells on the face of the Earth. Polluting everything either literally or by their disconnection to their surroundings. Their indifference and ignorance of what their own Nature truly is, can only metastasize to a full blown tumor.
When we think that nature is a resource, it also means we think of ourselves as a resource. This thought pattern has been normalized, yet it s a complete lie. A lie that stems from a violent ideology that is trying to hijack the natural course of our human destiny.
