What we all have in common is the irrepressible need to be connected to something.
People with no spiritual belief in a higher power or in a creator are still living their lives according to strong beliefs.
Those beliefs create an actual religion - according to its real definition : a particular system of faith and worship. All of humanity believes in something.
Many people firmly believe in science. Not just as a pursuit of knowledge based on evidence but as a definite proof of truth.
They believe life ends with the death of the physical body and they believe life has no meaning besides the meaning we give it.
In a nutshell they believe Man is better than any God. Man knows best. Man has not created this wondrous Life or himself, but they believe he can “improve” Creation. Some even believe he actually should improve the original design. Hence the trans humanist agenda currently in the making.
Talk about delusion of grandeur!
Most humans have relinquished any belief in the invisible. To them, magic is a nonsensical gimmick. Unless approved by experts. They may only “pray” if some tragedy occurs. The rest of the time, Man is at the centre of their belief. Man is the ultimate authority. They have Faith in the truth he conveys. The expert becomes their God.
They believe their evolved society knows it all or is on its way to bring definitive evidence their life is just a series of arbitrary atomic events that can be scientifically analyzed.
In their everyday life, it usually means they consider nature like a commodity. A practical tool. Since Man thinks he is at the top of the pyramid, everything on the planet must exist to serve him. The mineral, vegetal and animal life must belong to him.
They also believe we are a mere sack of meat and bones, rotting away towards Death. The ultimate betrayal. The ultimate fear.
This belief explains why the fear of death dominates our “modern” cultures. Why we spend a lifetime seeking power, craving achievements and consuming to escape that eerie void.
A life where people are compelled to take as much as possible before the devastating end game.
Pleasure, adrenaline pursuits and more money, they can never get enough. The schedules must remain hectic. They get anxious when the lights come off. Silence is vertiginous. Thank God for the white noise machine. Because the noise must never stop. They must never face their shadow.
Life becomes a constant chase to get more stuff. To be a pointless winner in a demented fleeting game.
A lot of believers in a higher entity behave the same way. Their connection to a God exists mostly in theory and under the bias of man-made dogmas. Their core values belong to the same material world.
Both groups share the same path. Their vision vibrates on a similar level of Consciousness.
They collectively take the world towards a direction based on those materialistic beliefs.
Having lost their connection to the Sacred Nature of Life, they worship their artificial system of enslavement. And defend its structure when under attack.
They believe they don’t answer to the same rules and laws as all the other elements of Life on Earth.
A rebellious choice indeed. As if a spider was suddenly making a Picasso-like web, they believe they can create whatever they want and make up their own rules, regardless of the immutable order of Life. With no consequences.
Unfortunately, misery, chaos and disharmony follow.
Naturally.
